  • Symptom Management at End of Life

Hospice care providers offer specialized knowledge and support at the end of life just as obstetricians and midwives lend support and expertise at the start of life. Each person’s experience at end of life is unique to the individual. Our highly skilled and specially trained hospice team takes into account the unique needs of each patient and offers recommendations for managing symptoms which can include:

    • pain
    • constipation
    • anxiety
    • shortness of breath
    • nausea, and vomiting
    • restlessness
    • skin problems

In addition to drug therapies, non-medication solutions are offered that may aid in comfort and stress relief. They include:

    • Spiritual and emotional care from trained chaplains and medical social workers

Our goal is to offer resources, choices and options for pain management and symptom control so patients can embrace life and live as fully and as comfortably as possible.
